Problem Solving Style

Everyone has a preferred problem solving style.  In fact, extensive bodies of research suggest our preferred style is engrained in our DNA—meaning you can’t change it, hard as you try.

Of course, that doesn’t mean we’re entirely bound by our preferred style; we can practice a style that is not in our nature, but that, the research says, is stressful and too much of it becomes problematic.

BMGI uses the Kirton Adaption-Innovation Inventory to evaluate problem solving style.  Working closely with Dr. Michael Kirton, BMGI has adopted his work and applies it across a broad range of applications.  With an understanding of individual and group style, the performance of problem solving teams is optimized.
