In this article Lori Kozlowski interviews John Dabiri about his studies of jelly fish with respect to fluid dynamics.  John talks about bio-inspired engineering and how scientists apply its techniques helping them discover more efficient solutions to today's engineering problems.  In his case John observed how jelly fish propel themselves through the water.  After learning the propulsion techniques jelly fish use he can then apply the concepts he learned when designing any fluid propulsion system.
