Institutionalizing Innovation

In the article Scott D. Anthony, Mark W. Johnson and Joseph V. Sinfield explain that creating a new growth business through innovations involves more then just incorporating innovation into a business.  The first step involves the executives in your core business being on the same page and willing to change according to new incentives.  Many companies have executives with different ideas of what their core business is all about eroding their ability to work toward a common goal.  Once everybody in a business is working toward a common goal you are well on your way to developing a new growth business.
