Founded in 1999 as a niche consultancy specializing in Lean Six Sigma and other disciplined methods, BMGI has since grown into a full-fledged firm that helps clients solve a wide variety of business problems, meet pressing strategic dictates and rise to competitive challenges.

Since BMGI experts have an extensive knowledge of many problem solving methods and tools, we don’t prescribe any one solution for all. Rather, we partner with clients to design solutions in the most efficient and least expensive manner possible—always with a strong emphasis on people, objectivity, insight and insourcing.

People

Effective change and improvement starts and ends with people—the human side of problem solving. It’s true that on the surface most established improvement approaches are commoditized today, but many companies lack the experience, expertise and bandwidth required to implement change initiatives that extract the most value from these approaches. BMGI experts are highly skilled at providing what you need in a way that dovetails with your unique needs, budget, working culture and people.

Objectivity

Most of today’s diversified consulting firms gear their analyses and reports toward recommending their own add-on services and solutions—trying to squeeze ever more profit from each client. Recognizing this inherent conflict of interest, BMGI limits its services to the realm of people-driven problem solving. If the solution to your problem requires that you upgrade your technology or outsource functions, we’ll tell you—but then we’ll refer you to another firm for implementation. We pride ourselves on building relationships based on trust and objectivity because it’s what we both need to succeed.

Insight

We’ve been called contrarians at BMGI, but we’re not. We’re just committed to the truth and nothing but the truth. This means we sometimes recommend programs that defy conventional wisdom when the diligence of our researchers and practitioners leads us to different conclusions. It also means we embrace our clients’ most vexing issues, helping them prevent unintended consequences before they occur and designing their change initiatives accordingly. Although bucking the trend has its risks, we do it anyway when we know it’s best for you.

Insourcing

One aspect of our business model at BMGI has remained unfettered by change: our proven adult learning programs ensure that clients internalize, apply and master needed knowledge and skills. All of our programs and courses are known for driving immediate, quantifiable results while also preparing new practitioners to continue driving change long after we’re gone.
