Innovation Tools
Using Innovation skills to enhance problem-solving abilities
What if creativity could be taught? We think it can. Successful innovation isn't just about coming up with great ideas - it's also about selecting them, systematically implementing them, and finally evaluating their success. BMG University's Innovation Tools class teaches you a structured method for moving through the innovation process from front to finish. You will walk away with both an understanding of what it takes to build your team's innovative capabilities, as well as a number of specific tools you can use along the way to ensure success.
The Innovation Tools course follows the structured innovation methodology, D4, which includes the phases of Define, Discover, Develop and Demonstrate. The D4 roadmap helps practitioners identify unmet customer needs, generate ideas to fulfill those needs, analyze the most promising solutions, and pilot and test the end product/process. This 5 day course will show you:
- How to apply a structured roadmap for innovation to solve business problems with measurable success.
- How to identify unarticulated customer needs and get to the heart of the problem you seek to solve.
- How to take ideas and turn them into solutions, then demonstrate success with prototyping and piloting.
